Self checkout with the app is the biggest reason why I shop at Sam's. Better pizza options/food options. Definitely worth it to try out since they have the bigger name brands for certain items you may like. But otherwise it's kinda the same.
right away just use a different email thats all

Not bad. Last year I had it for $10, and some had it for free though latter deal required more hoops to jump and some risk having to deal with CSR. This is straightforward though more expensive.
I do not think Sam's can give those freebies forever so not sure if lower price will ever come back. After all, warehouse clubs make most of the money on membership fees and sell merchandise only slightly above their costs.
Yeah having to jump through hoops and stuff buying this or that to save what $10 more. If i was not out that would be different but i have waited weeks now and did this just to get it done and start saving money on gas at least
I'm a single guy (no big family) so I don't buy a ton of stuff in bulk. But I have always shopped at Costco for bulk items and their aggressively discounted electronics. Are there any pros to Sam's Club over Costco? If there is for $25 I wouldn't mind trying it.

In my experience Sam's tends to be a little better on bulk items (flour, rice, paper plates), while Costco is a much better food court and better quality food and clothing items. Overall Costco was our favorite.

I'm actually waiting for the free memberships to come back with the economy slowing down even more. I think it's only a matter of time before they offer the free memberships again to drive shopping from other stores over to sams. Costco is already seeing a slight slow down in spending and people are switching from Beef products to lower cost chicken and pork. People are running out of savings to combat against inflation and it looks like they are almost empty.

I'm a single guy too. Been shopping at Sam's for number of years now. I like selection of stuff there. It's nice I can almost make it month on buying certain food. Paper products almost last me a year.
