It's a french engineered design. Slickdeals has nothing to do.

My take, an experienced speaker person who has done live sound for events:

When given a decent signal, they sound as pleasing as any 2 way I've heard. They have realistic timbre, are fast enough with percussion, and get plenty deep for medium size rooms. Imaging is great, soundstage big enough.

Objectively they are built well, the woofers actually braced into the frame. They are the star here- the tweeters are merely non-offensive. Still better than similar wharfdale or low end klipsch designs, but that is my preference. You're correct they are the weak spot- only because the rest is so good.

Crossover construction is above average as well, they do the job fine and outclass similar price point competitors.

I own the Br03 and Br08, with solid state and tube amplification respectively.

The BR03 are the better buy- I love mine.

Peace!

I've only heard of this company through Slickdeals.

Can anyone explain in great lengths why each speaker is worth $300 (MSRP) when I'm only seeing one tweeter and one midrange driver?

There's no way that tweeter costs $150 (MSRP).

Plenty of review sites have covered this speaker. And yeah, all pre-built speakers are marked up..

Bought my wife a pair of the BR02 for her cluttered home office for $279 + $17 tax, and we love the sound. I'd characterize them as neutral and easy to listen to. This pair of BR03 at $350 is tempting. Thank you, OP

All speakers are pre built. I hate to glue the cone, voice coil on to the metal frame aimingly careful.

I might been learning about Triangles way too much with all these deals these couple months.
Was waiting for q150 or q350 go on sale. Would this be a better buy for a smallish living room - 14x20?

What dimensions are considered a medium sized room? And do you think these would be good to pair with -516 for primarily listening to records in a 20x24 room?

How do they compare to comparable Klipsch Reference Premier line? I'm convinced RP is a sweet spot for quality/price..

Having heard both IMO it comes down to sound preference, they are pretty different.
The major difference in general terms using common descriptions given.

Klipsch is much brighter and upfront sound, Br03 are more on the warm laidback sound.
Imaging and depth are about the same following the 1st description.
Klipsch has a wider dispersion but by no means would I say the 03's are narrow.
Both are fairly easy to drive to their potential.

Hope that helps, good luck.

I have br 08, q150/q350 and 11.2.
Triangles are fine, they can get loud, and can sound great with some high end amp set up, or so it should according to youtube review. But with my setup, the onkyo nr 809, I rate it below q350 and on par with 11.2.
The stereo imaging of the kef is unparalleled. Which is the major reason I ended up using the kef 350 as my desktop speaker.
Now to the build material. Both kef and triangle use vinyls wrap but 11.2 uses wood venner like what a high end speaker should. And I have to say my copy of br08 didn't have a good craftsmanship either.

Speaker manufacturers used to offer salesman a chance to buy a set of speakers "at cost" annually. Typical discount was 70% off. Cost is mainly in the R&D, not in materials.
